 Are we ready today to lay down our own plans, our agendas and our dreams to take up the dreams and the plans of God? Imagine if not only you, but the entire body of Christ came to this place of complete surrender! I believe we could change the world in a day.
It was several years ago as I was struggling to lay down everything in my life, God began to show me that the plans and things I thought were so important, really paled in comparison to what He had planned. I knew at that point I could not take hold of His plans and dreams, until I was willing to let go of the little insignificant things I was hanging onto. Some of those things I had worked very hard to obtain, but before God they were deemed worthless.
I remember letting go of everything, including every preconceived idea I had about my life and what I wanted and even what I thought God wanted.
One of the most glorious moments I experienced came as I began to cry out to God and pray “Father, show me YOUR heart! Show me the dreams, the desires, and the plans that are in your heart” “Show me what makes you weep, what breaks your heart, and even what makes you smile.” This is when He began to show me His love and passion for His Church and how much He desired for her to be cleansed and purified, how He longed for her to rise up and be glorious in the earth – to fulfill His purposes. From that point on my life has been consumed with fulfilling His dreams and not my own.
When God really opens up the deep places of His heart to you, you will never be the same again. You will become enthralled with His love, be made breathless by His power, and speechless when confronted with His Holiness. You can only lay prostrate before Him, utterly undone. You will never see anything the same again – for you will fear nothing but Him, because you see how truly great He is and how every power is subject to Him! And nothing of this earth will ever satisfy you again.
Ask Him today to show you HIS heart! And begin living your life to fulfill His dreams and plans in the earth. This is where you will find complete fulfillment and joy!
Note: I know God does show us His heart through His written word, but there are those moments of intimacy when He reveals the secret places of His heart.
Isaiah 40:5 says that "the Glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it."
Revealed: To make known something concealed or secret
CLOSING PRAYER:
Father, I pray that you would begin to reveal your heart today in such a way that our lives would never be the same. Reveal your glory to these woman today and allow them to see more of you then they have ever seen before. Your precious word says the secrets of the Lord are for those who fear you. Teach your Church again to fear you! Reveal your glory to your people, to our nation and throughout the nations of the earth, as I know this is your desire.
