As women we have tremendous opportunities everyday to influence our families, our homes, our communities and even our world. Proverbs 14:1 tells us that the wise woman builds her house, but the foolish one pulls it down with her own hands.
A good question to ask ourselves everyday is: “Am I building my house today? Am I building or tearing down myself, my husband, my children, and the world around me? What am I doing with the power God has given me to build?"
We see several examples in God’s word of wise and strong women, such as Esther, Deborah and Mary. They were women who faced giants in their lives, and they chose to face them head on, not giving way to fear. In the midst of situations that appeared hopeless, they chose to build, and God used them to impact nations.
We also see women who destroyed and tore down, such as Eve, and Jezebel. Eve was foolish because she listened to the lies of the enemy. She responded to the lies instead of being wise and living by the truth of God’s Word. Her foolishness not only destroyed her home but brought a curse on her family for generations to come.
God is calling us to be women that will face the giants of our day and say “ Today, I will build! For His glory!” You may be facing situations in your life, your family, home or even in the world around you that seem hopeless and broken. God wants you to know that He has anointed you to stand up in His Strength and grace today. You can look fear and situations in the face and say “Today, I WILL BUILD and for the Glory of God!
Nehemiah 2:17-18 – Then I said to them “You see the distress that we are in, how Jerusalem lies waste, and its gates are burned with fire. COME AND LET US BUILD the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer be a reproach!
For it is Christ in You the Hope of Glory – Let Him Shine through today, in all you do!
CLOSING PRAYER:
Father, I pray that you would give us the faith and the courage today to face the giants and to BUILD even in the situations in life that may seem hopeless or devastating. Open up our eyes today to see the opportunities all around us to BUILD and to bring life to everyone and everything. Thank you for anointing us to take the life and Glory of Christ into our world.
HAVE A GLORIOUS DAY!
