I Corinthians 3:10-15 tells us that each one of us should be careful how we build, and what foundation we are building on. For the fire will come and test the quality of our work. We need to ask ourselves as women of God, are we building on a strong foundation and in obedience to God’s Word, with pure hearts and motives?
I believe there is an internal investigation going on in God’s house. There is a call for purity going forth, if we will hear it. The Spirit of God is calling for purity in heart, in motive, and in every area of our lives. Our prayer as women of God should be “Holy Spirit come and investigate me, show me the things that I am building and doing that were not directed by you. Show me what you want me to build and to do.”
Busy, Busy, Busy Making Sacrifices
In I Samuel 15 Saul was busy sacrificing the very livestock God had clearly instructed him to destroy. He was busy doing what seemed like the right thing, but it was in disobedience and for all the wrong reasons. God sends Samuel the prophet to rebuke Saul and lets him know that God wants obedience rather than sacrifice.
As women we need to look at what we are busy doing and the sacrifices we are making. Are we busy doing what God has instructed us to do or just busy making a lot of sacrifices God has never asked us to? Sometimes we make sacrifices for the approval of man or out of other wrong motives. We live in a time when so many of God’s people are stressed out, worn out and confused. I believe it is because of this very thing.
As I close today, I want to encourage you to ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and life and ask Him if you are building right, in accordance with His Word and His perfect Will.
Part 2 will be continued next week.
God knows How To Build Great Things!
Building ont the foundation of God's Word.
So What Should We Build First?
Closing Prayer:
Father, I pray today that through the power of your Holy Spirit you would search our hearts, our motives, and our lives. Show us the things in our lives that are out of order and out of line with your divine will. Show us what you want us to build. We love you with all our hearts and all our lives. Let your name be Glorified in us today!
HAVE A GLORIOUS DAY!
