Busy Building the Right Things!
As women of God we all want to know we are spending our energy and our lives building the right things and making the right sacrifices, those that are pleasing in His sight and in alignment with His divine will? In the coming weeks we will be talking about how to build, but before we do, we need to know what it is God is asking us to build. When this is clearly established in our lives, then our priorities will be right, and we can walk confidently into God’s purposes and destiny.
Divine Order in Building
In I Corinthians, the 14th Chapter we are told that God is not the author of confusion, and that we should do all things decently and in order. If we are going to build wisely, then we must build in order and in line with God’s Word. Today, I want to share the first 3 things that God has called us to build as women. If you are not married yet, these are good things for you to learn before you are.
So What Should I Build First?
1. Take Time to Build You: Spirit, Soul, and Body
The vessel must be ready. If you are going to fulfill God’s perfect plan and will for your life, then you must take time out to build you. If we are going to be everything God has called and created us to be for our husbands, our families, for ministry, then we must take time to care for and build our temple, which really is the temple of the Holy Spirit.
God so perfectly created us as 3 part beings – spirit, soul and body. As stewards we must build and maintain these 3 areas of our lives. The most important one is our relationship with the Father – for apart from Him we can do nothing! I encourage you to pray and ask the Holy Spirit to show you if you are taking the time needed to prepare and build your vessel, spirit, soul, and body for His purposes and glory?
2. Build Your Husband
When you have taken time to abide in the vine, building your relationship with the Father, then you will be empowered by the Holy Spirit to build and to minister to your husband. This is such a great honor. As women of God we are called to help them become all God has called and created them to be – a help meet. We are a helper, like the Holy Spirit is to us.
3. Build Your Family
Scripture is also clear in regards to caring for our children and our homes. Our home base needs to be strong before we go out and try to change the world. I personally love to read about the Proverbs 31 woman, she was very industrious, she built her husband, her home and family, and was also a business woman, buying and selling property, making and selling clothing. When we have our priorities in line with God’s word, I believe God gives us the power and grace to accomplish so much more.
4. Building All the Other Things
When God’s Word does not clearly instruct us in certain matters such as, who to marry, where to live, whether you should build a business, then we need to seek Him to be sure we are building the right thing, in line with His will. Proverbs 3:6 tells us to acknowledge God in ALL our ways, then He will direct our paths.
Closing Prayer:
Father, I pray today that divine order would be released in greater measure into all of our lives. I pray that you would help every woman to build these important areas in accordance with your word and will. Holy Spirit, move in and through our lives today, help us all to build ourselves, our husbands, our families and homes for your glory!
HAVE A GLORIOUS DAY!
