 What God desires is for us to find and focus on the praise-worthy things in our husbands, our families, our churches, and those around us, and begin speaking about and celebrating those things.
This doesn't mean we ignore things that are wrong, but I've learned when the Holy Spirit is at work building, He will show me things in my own life, my loved ones, or those around me. He will always lead me to pray and will fill my heart with hope and faith for the situation. God will give us solutions as we pray and many times will cause us to be part of that solution.
It is the opposite however, when the enemy of our souls is at work, accusing and lying. He always paints a very hopeless picture, blowing things out of proportion, attempting to get us to murmur and complain, instead of pray. He wants to fill hearts with discouragement and despair, ultimately causing people to give up entirely. This is Satan’s strategy. And, as women of God we cannot give him any place if we are going to build anything for the Kingdom of God!
If we are going to be glorious and become the glorious church, then we must search out and dwell on those things that are praise-worthy.
In regards to those things that are not praise-worthy, we must be quick to pray, and sensitive to the Holy Spirit as to when and how to speak, if He so directs us to.
Closing Prayer
Father, thank you for your Word, which is life to us! We pray that you would help us to exercise self control and think on good and lovely things in line with your Holy Word. Help us to sincerely celebrate and focus on the great things in the lives of the ones we love. Every day, help us to build the lives of all those around us!
